My Project

My students are curious and creative little preschoolers. They love to create things during our station rotations and free time. We are a part of a fabulous school where kids are loved and love to learn. Learning is exciting and engaging in our classroom!

With money being tight and budget cuts all over the place, we as teachers don't always have the things we need at our fingertips.

As a preschool teacher, I try to create a learning environment where learning is fun and engaging. I work very hard to prepare station activities that are engaging and common core based. With the help of other teachers I am able to get ideas and activities for my students. These usually need to be printed out in color and then laminated for repetitive use over time. Color printing is very expensive, and after pricing it out, it would be more cost effective to have our very own printer to print these activities in our classroom. My students also love creating things and taking pictures with our iPods. Printing them in black and white is OK, but they love to be able to show their hard work in color. With this grant we will engage in more colorful and awesome station activities and be able to enhance learning of common core standards as well as print pictures and other computer activities we create in color. Not to mention occasionally we need to print an extra copy or two.

With this ink and paper, our class will have a great resource at their fingertips. My students will be able to print their work and pictures, and I will be able to make our station activities, learning games, math manipulatives, etc. in color for more engaging learning experiences for everyone.
