Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative and inquisitive by nature. My students come from low economic homes and struggle with academics.

Despite their challenges, they are hard-working and eager to learn.

The 2020-2021 school year has presented them with unforeseen challenges. We are a Title I school, with minimal resources. I have a self-contained class across three grade levels. Each student needs a specific academic learning plan aligned to individual IEP goals. Due to these needs, a multitude of materials are necessary for student growth. Any addition to our classroom is greatly appreciated.

My Project

A quality color printer is a key asset in generating exciting teaching materials. It can create interactive visual aids for use in the classroom, which helps me to communicate complex concepts to students. It also will assist in producing color in classroom handouts, games, activity posters, and calendars. The sky's the limit when it comes to the visual materials I can use in a color setting. Color can especially help my students interpret and understand charts and graphs, and it aids in the retention of material covered in class. My students often engage better with color materials, which instinctively draw their attention and pique their interest.
