Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the proud teacher of nineteen students in the Bronx. My students come from a low income area, but that doesn't get in the way of their desire to achieve. I have been in this school since 1999, and my students have more needs than average.

I have been constantly inspired by their drive and determination.

Despite the many challenges they face, my students work hard. I want to give them resources that will help them achieve their goals.

My Project

My students have a difficult time expressing their thoughts and interpreting concepts. Having the ability to create resources that would help them navigate the complexities of language and all of the components would be immeasurable. With a color printer I would be able to create and print specific resources, which would be tailored to individual needs, to help my students thrive.

My students would also be more motivated to get creative with their writing if they could create books that look like they were purchased in a book store like "real authors".
