Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious, motivated and thoughtful learners! The majority are ENLs from low-income families who come into our classrooms every day with the eagerness of becoming feature leaders, scientists, artists, etc.

They are big dreamers and believe that they can make a difference and achieve their goals if the support and the opportunity are given to them.

They love to read, write and draw, do the math and do hands-on and movement activities!

The majority of my students are English language learners and students with disabilities, who require exposure to the best educational experiences; therefore, hands-on and realia are a must in my classroom. Many of my students struggle to understand and grasp concepts and they need to be exposed to visual and concrete samples for them to get it.

Each student in my classroom is unique and it is my responsibility as their teacher to find the best and most effective way to help them achieve their potential. Every donation makes a difference in my students' lives. I look forward to creating projects that will make our classroom a joyful learning environment. Thank you!

My Project

My students will use headphones to read and focus independently on their books or complete reading activities without the noises and distractions of their surroundings.

Having a printer in the classroom can provide my students hard copies of reading passages that they can use to continue practicing their reading skills at home or they can print writing worksheets related to the reading they just completed.

Organization is key in a classroom. Having all materials readily accessible ensures that classroom activities run smoothly and easily. The pocket organizer is a great way to have pencils, erasers, highlighters, notepads, and other materials organize and ready to use. That will save time to focus on the activities and the learning instead of wasting time looking for materials needed to complete their work.

By donating these items to my classroom you will not only provide the necessary equipment they need to complete wonderful projects but you will also contribute to their academic achievement.
