Printing Class Projects

My students need a classroom printer in order to print web related research, vibrant and creative Powerpoint and Smartboard lesson projects, and Comic Life assignments.

My Students

My students are 21st century technology natives. As many of you would agree, our students of today expect and prefer to learn through the use of technology; however, this becomes a great challenge when many students don't have access to working computers and printers at school nor at home.

My 6th grade students are motivated scholars who appreciate the opportunity to express their creativity through the use of technology.

In my class, students learn how to conduct research on the Internet, create exciting and informational PowerPoint projects and SmartBoard Lessons, as well as Comic Life assignments. However, students do frequently face the challenge of not having functional computers and printers at school, let alone at home.

My Project

Currently, our class is equipped with a media cart that is shared among 3-4 teachers. Although this cart comes with enough laptops that students share, it is not equipped with a working printer. It is exciting to see the wonderful and well though out projects students create; however, it is also unfortunate students can't print out their work. By providing our classroom a printer, you are assisting students in producing assignments and projects they can look forward in publishing and sharing with their family! How exciting this would be!
