My Students

My class is made up of 5 and 6 years old students. They live in Queens, NY. Their Pre-K year was cut short due to Covid-19, and many have spent their Kindergarten year learning fully remote. I want to welcome them back to 2021-2022 with the resources to keep them safe and engaged for what will be a very challenging year ahead.

My Project

This year I would like to welcome my students to their first grade classroom with the resources they need! Many of these first graders will be going into the school building for the first time since their Kindergarten year was all done remotely. There is so much anxiety that families are feeling at this time, that I want to make sure that we have the resources we need to be successful in the classroom, and that parents have resources to help their child learn and grow at home. A color printer will help give my students access to these materials. It’s important for them to have powerful tools to synthesize information and become life leaders. Colorful and engaging tool will do just that!
