My Students

My students come from diverse backgrounds. They have varying strengths and weaknesses in the school curriculum. We have many students on the autism spectrum that are detail oriented, show an aptitude for the arts, and are very enthusiastic about all the arts and everything that it has to offer them.

They have shown their teachers that they learn best when they are engaged and having fun.

Learning about music with a hands-on approach is very important in my attempt to keep them active and engaged.

My Project

I often post activities on Google Classroom and in our Quaver online music program that supplements my lesson. For instance, they can color code a rhythm worksheet, they can complete a composer crossword puzzle, or they can do some rhythm math. On several occasions, some children have mentioned that they can't print out and complete the activities for various reasons.

I would like to have a supply of printed out activities in my possession so that ALL children have what they need to succeed in all aspects of the lessons.
