My Project

My students are from a Philadelphia high school.

The printer help my students discover a new world through art.

This printer will help my students bring their Digital Art to life. I am all about my students expressing themselves. I hoping with this printer students will be able to share their Art more and make more connections within their school community. I try my best to expose my students to as much art as I can in just a year. My mission is to help my students experience different materials, techniques, artists’ styles and cultures. I try to give them a little bit of everything so that they can get a taste of the art world. Your donation will help all of us greatly, thank you!

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keeping things simple and providing my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences that they might not get at another neighborhood school.

My students are creative, clever and very spontaneous.

They like to move, they love to learn and love lots of positive attention. Many of them are being raised in single parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. These things may prevent them from getting ahead early in life and may not provide them with the life experiences many of us see as "typical". From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me.
