My Project

Having crafting materials and supplies is incredibly important for developing the needs of our students, particularly when they have access to creative tools like a 3D printer, sewing machine, and a Cricut machine. These resources create opportunities for students to engage in hands-on, interdisciplinary learning that prepares them for future challenges in both academic and professional settings. Students can work together to design and build projects, whether it's creating a product on the 3D printer or making an art piece with Cricut designs. This fosters teamwork, communication, and sharing of ideas, which are vital skills for personal and academic growth. Sewing, crocheting, and other textile crafts teach practical life skills that students can carry with them beyond school. Learning to create functional items such as clothes, bags, or home décor is not only empowering but also provides real-world skills that are both creative and useful. Students hope to use these crafting materials and supplies to collaborate with alumni members on creative projects, including an exciting upcoming fashion show. This partnership allows students to gain valuable industry insights and expertise from alumni, while alumni can contribute their experience and guidance to help shape the students' work. Together, they are combining fresh ideas with professional knowledge to create successful and impactful events and initiatives. This collaboration fosters a strong sense of community and provides real-world learning opportunities for the students.
