My Students

My students come from a wide varieties of backgrounds with diverse experiences. Some have been in pre-school for several years, others are experiencing school for the first time. Some come from families who have lived in this area for generations, others are brand-new to our county and have limited English. Regardless of where they come from, each student is welcomed every day and a valued member of our classroom. Their diversity makes us richer! I am fortunate and blessed to see them grow in our classroom and move on through school successfully.

My Project

Having a color printer in my classroom will allow me to quickly print centers and other student materials. Kindergarteners learn best when their activities are bright, colorful and meaningful to them. I want to give my students center options to help them with skills such as letter names, letter sounds, numbers and quantities.

A number of my students are learning English for the first time in school.

While I can't always communicate with them through my words, they understand pictures. A color printer would allow me to print picture cards to help their understanding and allow them to better communicate in the classroom. Thank you in advance for supporting my growing students!
