Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Working in special education for many years and getting limited resources for classroom visuals is not fun. Working with tiny humans with limited vocbulary or nonverbal students can be difficult without the proper visuals needed for them to help communicate their wants and needs. Getting these materials will help me create the visuals needed for my sudents to communicate more effectively, laminating and posting them around the room will give my students more accessability to them throughout the day and being laminted they will last me the school year.

Helping my students communicate using visuals such as picture shedules, individualized communication books, etc.

is vital during this stage of development in preschool. Giving them the opportunity to express themselves or get their ideas, wants and needs met learning to use these tools is important for their expressive language and daily lives. Having the tools to create these visuals will benefit my students greatly.
