Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a very high needs school in the Bronx. We have limited resources and access to learning tools and books. I am looking for ways to make learning more accessible for my students. Some of my students are able to read on grade level and some are struggling to sound out words and to make meaning of what they are reading. My students work hard and they are eager and excited to learn. My goal as a teacher is to motivate my students to go above and beyond.

My Project

I am requesting a color printer, paper and ink for our classroom. My students and I would love to have our very own printer. We do not have a printer in our classroom and having access to one would make things so much easier for us in the classroom with just the click of a button. They have been writing poems and stories and having a printer will allow them to print these and more. I would also like to provide my students with a colorful learning environment with teacher created posters, learning aids, and other learning resources. Please consider making this dream a reality for my fourth graders.
