My Students

Help my students publish their writing and download information off of the Internet. Our ancient classroom printer prints sooooo slowly. With the State of California and our school district in a financial crisis, it's impossible to replace the printer. Help our classroom projects come to life!

I am so lucky to spend my days in a classroom filled with eager, joyful learners.

I am a first grade teacher at a Title I school where 50% of our student population participates in our free breakfast and lunch program. Also, a significant number of our students are English Language Learners. Our families come from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds,experiences,and challenges.

My Project

We need a laser printer and ink cartridges for our classroom. A laser printer can provide high quality printing at a quick speed. The old printer in the classroom will give out soon and then we will be left without a printer at all. My students are constantly working on improving their writing skills through stories, journals, and free writing projects. We also use the Internet to gather a variety of information for projects and a printer is needed to copy the information. I would like to be able to have students type their work and print it up so that we can publish our own class books. I know that my students will take pride in their work, and will be motivated to write, write, write!

A donation to this project will positively impact my students and have them become more enthusiastic about writing projects in all curricular areas.

It will also provide them with an opportunity to print out information off of the Internet to use for a variety of purposes. A donation will help many students for many years. Help our classroom to "Print it up PRONTO!"
