This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Students at my school come from a low socioeconomic, high poverty neighborhood. In spite of their surroundings, my students are resilient! We want our students to enjoy and love reading. We also want them to know how important reading is to their daily lives.
CH students understand the importance of a good education.
After hearing great stories from amazing authors, this projects will all students to have a snack and juice. Receiving a snack will motivate students and parents to come out and learn more about how they can incorporate reading into their daily life. Parents and students will be given reading strategies and learn more ways to strengthen reading skills at home. The goal of Prime Time Reading Nights is to help families understand how FUNdamental reading really is for the development of young minds.
