Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Most of our classroom "toys" are hand-me-downs from previous teachers from years past. These toys are incomplete, broken, and dirty.
My Preschoolers are such enthusiastic learners and love coming to school each and every day.
They love being able to go to the car and animal pretend play centers. It has to be one of the most popular centers in the classroom. Parents always are telling me how their child doesn't want to come home and can't wait to return to school the next day. They really enjoy Preschool.
My Project
My students need new toys: cars, a garage, new trucks, and a new barn. When a child engages in pretend (or dramatic) play, he/she is actively experimenting with the social and emotional roles of life. These materials will be most appreciated by all students. Right now they are happily playing with a sorry assortment of trucks and a barn. They will just be over the moon with new trucks, cars, garage, and a barn! This will be so nice for them to have in their pretend play center.
These materials will help preschoolers to develop their emotional social, language, and thinking skills.
They will help nurture students' imaginations. Play is a fundamental part of Preschool- please help me provide the best scenarios for their education.
