Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Please help us!I am a sixth grade science teacher whose school is doing the best it can to help our school population visit various places of interest and learning.Since most of the students that I teach come from low income families, they are unable to afford individual cameras to preserve the memories of their field trips and science experiments.
Preserving the visuals taken during these learning activities would create lots of discussion as well as clarify and answer questions that are rarely talked about during the excitement of visiting and seeing places for the first time.Of course this will take place after we return from field trips, etc.
My class needs two digital cameras and an HP printer which would be use to further learning and even create memory albums of their six grade life. This will also allow these students to not only show but able to involve their parents in their learning.
Your help will ensure that my students of class 2008-2009 and beyond further and deepen their learning in a meaningful way. This I'm sure will make a difference in the lives, learning and memories of these students.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
