My Students

My students are a diverse group of kindergarten through fifth grade students. They all bring excitement and curiosity into our project-based learning activities. Their insights, questions, and observation spur our investigations to increasingly meaningful levels.

My students are invested in their learning and are eager to participate in activities where they can " show what they know".

Our school is a barrier-free school that is home to over 1400 students with over 70 languages spoken. It is a very warm school with an active and supportive parent body. It is a wonderful place to learn - for both students and staff!

My Project

I facilitate Project Based Learning with an emphasis on Social Studies. My students range from Kindergarten to Fifth grade and encompass all levels of learning abilities and styles. We strive to challenge ourselves with our thinking and questioning about different concepts. Our work is shared not only with our class, but often with other classes in the school and even in the wider community around us.

The presentations help my students assimilate information more easily and it helps develop their speaking skills.

Providing supplies to make beautiful presentation elevates the level of their work and the pride they take in their work. The more pride they feel , the greater the ownership of their work and the greater their learning.

The folders and markers will allow my students to create beautiful presentations to showcase their learning.
