My Students

The students all have severe autism and therefore learn different from other students. They learn best with visuals and instant positive reinforcement. The kindle will be used for academic learning, speech therapy, and occupational therapy to improve complications with gross and fine motor skills.

We have little funding and are trying to be creative in getting our classroom tech savvy.

I teach preschool students in a high poverty area who have been identified with special needs. My students do not have access to the Internet and electronic devices in their homes.

My Project

Our students with autism will be delighted to use two Kindle tablets with cases and screen protectors because they have touchscreens. This will allow them to use these devices with a simple swipe of the finger. They will be able to practice comprehension questions and utilize phonemic awareness apps on these devices, as well. We would be utilizing the Kindles to enhance our classroom lessons

We teach students from kindergarten through fifth grade who have been identified with special needs. These two Kindles will make a huge impact on the students and their ability to practice so many skills.
