My Project

All of my students are readers. My little learners need story kits that are just for them. We will use the requested materials to build small bags of objects that correspond with stories we read as a class. Students will be able to hold these pouches as we read to help them interact with the story and stay engaged. As students learn to read, it is important that they have opportunities to interact with the books we share together.

When beginning learners engage with books in meaningful ways they can and want to read, they feel the success of being a learner.

These story kits not only serve as an engagement tool, but also provide retelling and comprehension opportunities for all students. Using story kits will teach them how books work, how authors tell stories, and how much fun reading can be. These special story kits that are just right for them will lead to a life-long love of learning and reading
