Preschool Sensory Garden

Help me give my students nature. Our sixth graders are creating a sensory garden for our special needs preschoolers. The preschoolers will use the table as a planting station and outdoor easel will help preschoolers create beautiful garden art.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our sixth graders saw a need and are ready to create an engaging, garden learning space for our special needs preschoolers.

This space will allow our special needs preschoolers to learn gardening skills with their big sixth graders saw buddies.

Preschoolers will explore gardening through their five senses while they engage in planting, maintaining and harvesting their garden bounty. It will also provide them with a space to create authentic art pieces through the lens of observation and the exploration of garden fruits, vegetables, and wildlife. Your generosity will allow not only an authentic learning experience for this year's students, but will be used for the learners who will benefit from this space in the future.
