Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are very special to me and hold a special place in my heart. My class has 21 students ranging in age from 2.5 to 5 years. They are extremely special and one-of-a-kind. I've observed over the years that students need to develop social and emotional abilities, particularly in emotion regulation. My current students have been observed to struggle with emotion regulation after spending more than twenty-four months at home due to the pandemic. With the help of this donation project, I hope to provide my students the tools they need to control their emotions by creating a relaxing space- a calming area. My goal is for my students to recognize when they are experiencing strong emotions and learn how to control and self-regulate them.
