My Students

For the past ten years, I have taught in a variety of classroom environments, each with their own unique rewards and challenges. As an educator, I am constantly looking for ways to improve my teaching style and classroom environment to best help my students find success.

This past year, I earned my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Technology.

With this degree, I hope to continue improving the classroom for students both in my own classroom and other classrooms in my school.

My Project

Ever since I was a child, space was always something to look up at but always seemed unobtainable. While we were at one point looking to go to Mars, it now once again seems like a distant dream for us. For our students, it doesn't have to be. Space Camp will provide curriculum and lessons that will allow me to nurture the scientific curiosity in my students.

Space Academy for Educators will provide me with hands-on experiences and projects to bring back to my students and teachers.

I am a high school technology specialist, but my job is more than my title implies. I assist every class in the building with big-idea projects that incorporate design-thinking and problem-solving. I spend about 70% of my time in the classrooms working alongside the teachers and the other 30% of my time creating professional development for the teachers and designing projects for the students.
