My Project

In our special education classroom, we are dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging environment where our students with multiple disabilties/autism can thrive. Each day, our students participate in structured activities that foster independence, creativity, and essential life skills. To enhance their learning experience, we are seeking funding for materials that will support their social development, vocational skill growth and build essential life skills.

Life Skills and pre-vocational lessons are designed to teach students the practical skills they need to navigate daily life, such as cooking, household management, money management, social skills, and practical job skills.

The chair will be used in our classroom/office at our work based learning print shop site. The LEGOs will be used to build social skills and will be displayed in our Farmer's Cafe. The matte laminating sheets will be used to display instructions at student work sites. Lastly, the rice cooker and griddle will be used during our cooking lessons. These essential life skills are what my students need to function independently and confidently in their everyday lives. These are the skills students need to practice every day in multiple ways till my students can do them independently.
