My Project

This year, our 5th-grade class will be very diverse. We will come from a variety of social, economic, religious, and racial backgrounds. We will speak different languages and perform on a variety of different academic ability levels. We will all come to school each day with a wide range of gifts, talents, interests, issues, hopes, and fears.

Despite these differences, there are so many more ways we are alike and connected.

I am requesting these materials to start our year off with activities to prepare us for success. For example, the posters will allow students to share themselves with the class. The Play-Doh and canvas boards will be used in collaborative STEAM lessons. Most importantly, the items will be used as we build our sense of community.
