Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are English language learners. Many of them come from various parts of the world, they are diverse in their cultures, and they speak different languages. In other words, they are very special! They bring so much to my classroom. They come to my program to learn a new language and new content, not knowing that I learn so much from them as well! They also contribute so much to their own classrooms and to our school. We learn about their languages, their cultures, their foods, their beliefs, their traditions, and their celebrations.

They bring the world to our learning community!

Many of our students are new to the country, our community or our school. The donations will give them access to the essential materials they need such as notebooks, pencils, crayons, and more to support their learning throughout the new school year. They will use the materials to learn how to write and to create art as they write.
