My Project

I absolutely love teaching special education and being able to co-teach all day. During the day, my co-teacher and myself see around 140 students!! Some of these students have little to no school supplies which leaves us to have what students need in order for them all to be successful. Students are given a school provided laptop and charger, but they can't charge their laptops when we don't have adequate places for these students to plug in and this is why there are different surge protectors requested!

Things such as pencils, crayons, and erasers will help our students have what they need all school year!

As you can imagine, having 140 students each day, means that my co-teacher and myself have to do some heavy duty planning in which we need to be able to sit in comfortable chairs and just take a minute to breathe. It will also allow us to move around the room and do small groups and one on one teaching for students who need some extra attention.

Students in our school, often do not have personal hygiene products at home and we are wanting to also start a hygiene closet for students who need things such as deodorant. They will get to go to the supply closet, take what they need and there are no questions nor judgement. This also means that at times, our classrooms gets to have an 8th grade "aroma" and this is how the cleaning products and oils will come into play. I assure you that all supplies on this list will be used and appreciated by myself, my co-teacher and 140+ students. Thank you!
