High school Physical Education is such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Most of my students are returning from Distance Learning in their academic classes as well as in our Physical Education classes. The students are doing a great job figuring out they are able to enjoy physical activity again. Our group loves to learn and participate in new and exciting activities!
In this class, we recognize each person starts at a different skill level so we try to build community around what we have in common and what we can do to reach our common goals.
Having enough equipment for paddleball games allows individuals to develop certain skills that other sports or games cannot, mainly the hand-eye coordination that improves movement, ball tracking and efficient footwork.
Every student in class will have his or her own pickleball racket and multiple pickleball balls to practice drills individually and in small groups.
With larger class sizes, this project will allow all of our students to participate in class because we will have enough proper and safe equipment. Each student will have his or her own pickleball racket and a few pickle balls to maximize his/her contacts and increase their participation!
My classroom is about building skills to instill fitness and self-confidence. The activities we do in this classroom are putting forth their best effort in a safe and pain free space, building relationships, following directions and having fun while doing it!
