Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a low-income community of Texas, bordering Mexico, where my students are English Language Learners. They face many challenges such as dyslexia, special needs, and are socioeconomically disadvantaged, but that does not stop them from dreaming big. Nevertheless, my students are creative, full of excitement, and thoughtful!

My Project

The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in reading and writing. My students work in small groups on our kidney table with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. By providing the dry erase markers will make it easier for my students to use the whiteboard.

Using the Kleenex Hand Towels will keep my classroom cleaner and students will be able to keep the distance required.

The Picasso Tiles will be used to enhance their imagination to the maximum.

Thank you for helping my class to begin the year organized.
