Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What I love most about my students is how wonderful, creative, fun, and at times random they are. They’re all showing strong signs of being the pioneers of a bright future. My students are truly something special, and while many other teachers have said the same, I truly believe my kids are unique. They even set up their own little musical performance to give me a break from teaching!

My Project

In 2021 technology is no longer optional, it is now necessary for students and teachers. The pandemic has caused us to NEED technology more important than ever.

I intend to bring the virtual classroom to life by creating a butterfly garden so my students can learn the entire life cycle of this beautiful creature.

The student learning target is for 4 year olds to learn how a catapillar develops into a butterfly. Lesson plans will align with the time of the life cycle. Additional resources will be used to teach my students the details of how this transformation takes place.

My classroom has 15 students and over half of them learn from home. I want to build the garden and have ALL of my students gain the scientific knowledge of the miracle of metamorphosis. Butterflies here we come!
