Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As students begin their journey in PreK. They discover and learn knew skills that will help them reach important milestones. The sand, playdoh and slime items will help scholars build strength in their hands and confidence in becoming independent. A goal in PreK is to encourage children to learn through play. The polly spots help students be aware of others personal space during gross motor activities. we currently do not have a carpet and the spots also allow students to sit during circle time without distraction from others in their space. As the students lean about their classroom community they are discovering the differences between each other and with the life cycle of the insects I added they can see how each living thing changes as it grows in every stage of its life. The place mats will promote healthy eating habits in school which they can practice with their families.
