Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials in this "PreK Gets Dressed for Dramatic Play" project will fill our dramatic play area with dress up clothing, a storage rack and fun dress up puzzles. These materials will be used for our Clothing Unit in PreK and then remain in our dramatic play center.

The dramatic play area is a small universe that children inhabit, giving teachers a window into the chid's inner life.

Children will explore roles and gain understanding about their world. When children engage in pretend play they dress themselves, expand their vocabulary and play cooperatively.

The dress up clothing in this project will allow the children to pretend to be someone else and role play different careers. The dress up rack in this project will organize the dress up materials and allow students to practice hanging up clothing. Finally, the dress up puzzles in this project will be fun for the children to explore different outfits and create discussions about clothing.
