Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I just found out that I am lucky enough to get to loop with my kiddos from fourth to fifth grade. That means I know exactly their strengths and weaknesses. For many of my kiddos, one problem they have is number sense.

Place value is one of the key aspect of number sense - and my students will need continued practice in place value, especially as we expand our study further.

These dry erase boards will allow students to practice with place value from the billions all the way down to the thousandths.

They can do daily practice and get immediate feedback. They can know right away where they are making mistakes and work on correcting their misunderstandings. They can be used with the whole class, in small groups, or solo in centers. The uses are endless.

So please help my students practice their place value so they will increase their understanding and improve their number sense.
