Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The donations toward this project will help to improve my student's global language skills. I work with students who demonstrate difficulty with functional communication skills. Creating and implementing new and engaging ways to inspire their intent to communicate is a constant need.

My goal for their future is to facilitate an avenue toward functional communication by harnessing their individuality and helping them to develop their chosen communication modality.

My students will use these specialized materials (language building games, materials to create AAC system symbols) and reinforcers (edibles, sensory beads) to engage in language-based therapy sessions targeting semantic growth and application while facilitating pragmatic language development.
