Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are new to the world of learning. They all come from a very needed household and community in the South Bronx. They all share an in-built desire to learn and grow, and always come into the classroom ready to absorb more knowledge.

My Project

These materials will help my students with the basic practice of financial knowledge, and it will also help to build the necessary skills and practice they will need to progress as they move on to different grades. Hands-on, puzzles, visuals, and tactiles are fundamental in the lower grades. Also, these are fun ways to learn, develop knowledge, fine and gross motor skills. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work to build the necessary skills and socialization to the real financial world that is ahead of them.
