This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This Donors Choose project has an item that will allow me to utilize my creative side and love for taking pictures of my pre-k scholars. In my class, we do thematic units and I have a backdrop for just about every unit that is taught and experienced in the classroom. I would like the ability to print the pictures I take.

My students attend a Title I School and do not always get to experience our thematic classroom themes in person so I like to bring those experiences to them and their families with something as simple as a backdrop, craft, and a memorable experience.

Some of the past photo crafts that have been sent home were handprint Christmas trees in which the student had their picture as the tree stump. I strive to make sure my students have a great first experience of school outside of their home and allowing them to continuously create when they know their adults at home will ask about it and engage in discourse is special.
