My Students
My students are from low income families in Akron, Ohio. I teach Pre-K with 18 students in the morning and 18 students in the afternoon. My four and five year olds are full of curiosity. I want to give them new experiences to help them achieve success.
My Project
All of the materials will be used for our Pet Study. I like to provide a variety of materials each day to engage my students. All of these materials will be used for small groups and choice time. Our dramatic play area will be turned into a Vet Office. The vet resources, X-rays, and animal puppets will be used at choice time for dramatic play. These materials will give all my students a chance to explore, discover, and role play. The pet manipulatives and graphing base ( using cubes to graph favorite pets) will be used for math small groups. The pet lacing cards for fine motor skills. The jumbo pets will be placed in the block area for my students to build homes for the pets. The My students will be able to connect their classroom experiences to real life experiences. I am passionate about giving my students different experiences and relate them to their own lives.
