My Project

Pre-K is an amazing grade to teach. The students are young and eager to learn. Preschoolers learn through many hands-on experiences throughout the day. They build, pretend, and create projects. While the children are busy learning through their play, the teachers like to take photos of them. We use these photos to facilitate and teach daily routines. We also use them to decorate the classroom so that the students feel at home and have a sense of belonging. Many times while the children are playing and creating they ask us to take pictures and show their families. The children love to take pictures home of their creations in the block center and play-doh center or of them wearing dress up clothes in the dramatic play center. When the children take these photos home they are able to talk about their creations and experiences with their families. This helps to build vocabulary and language skills.

Having a color printer in our classroom would be an amazing tool.

Usually, we have to send the pictures to a store to be printed, pick them up, and then send them home at a later date. By the time the picture goes home the child may have forgotten what they made with the blocks or play-doh. If we had a color printer in our classroom, we could print out pictures and send them home right away.

Throughout the school year we literally take hundreds of pictures of the students. This donation would be an amazing gift to our class. Thank you so much for your support.
