My students need music CDs, coloring books, and stickers because we are Pre-K children from a low income community with many cultures. We lack the funding to provide these experiences.

My Students

Do you know what is like to live in a community where their is diversity, but our pre-K children don't understand the different cultures that are in their community? We need these materials to enhance our pre-k children's understanding of what diversity is and means.

Our Pre-K children come from a low income community where they face many challenges and the school they attend is seen as a safe haven of knowledge and learning new skills and we believe that we as teachers need to provide these experiences that will broaden their communication between the different cultures and their community.

My Project

Our Pre-K children will understand what is around them and will prepare for future experiences. The materials we are requesting will support activities and daily lessons that are prepared by the teacher to provide a rich and educational exposure to the various music,clothing of different cultures and identity of their peers and themselves will use the music and dramatic clothing that i have requested to help children understand the what other countries wear and the music they listen to. We will show what we have learned by performing for Afro-American History Month, Cinco De Mayo, and International Day.

As Pre-K teachers we believe that this is the child's first experience in school and its important to know the world around them that make up their community.
