Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hi, my name is Gina and I am a pre-k teacher. As I enter a new school year I always reflect on how I can make my classroom environment support students learning. I am requesting a few things each of my centers needs to keep my students engaged. I know these materials will forever be used in my classroom.

In my art center, I ran out of foam stickers and color tape.

These materials are a big hit for my students each year and are used up very quickly. I am requesting mirrors because they can be added to my art center when students are drawing their self-portraits. It can also be used for science.

For my block centers, I am requesting cardboard blocks because they will give students other options to use to build with. I lack animal toys and farmers; all children love to play with animals.

For my writing center, I am requesting a mailbox. Students enjoy writing letters to their friends. This will have more students wanting to play in the writing center.

Sensory toys are very important for all students. I want my cozy corner to feel cozy for students. This is why I know the materials I am requesting will support my students.

Lastly, I added a few teaching supplies that always run out quickly. I am requesting laminating pouches because I never stop laminating task cards for my students.

Please support my classroom. I know that these materials will forever be used in my classroom. These materials are a must-have in a classroom. I will forever be thankful!
