Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students are now learning at home virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many of my students are at home with their caretakers, siblings and other family members. Within their home there are many children of various ages. My students range in age from 3 to 5. They require assistance from an adult to support them in accessing their new learning platform.
Many of my students have limited access to materials at home.
Some even have difficulty finding a book to sit down and read with a family member. My students also demonstrate a wide range of abilities. In my classroom, there are 8 students without IEPs and 7 students with IEPs. Many of my students require access to sensory materials and do not have access to such materials while at home. Please consider helping a wonderful group of children! They love to learn and have really just begun their learning journey. Help them to stay engaged and excited about learning during this critical time!
My Project
These materials will greatly help my students to learn through play alongside with their families. The book collections will provide them with opportunities to read at home with a family member. This will help to expand their language and vocabulary. The watercolors will allow my students to express themselves in different ways through art. The sensory tubs will help some of my students to slow down and organize themselves so that they are more easily and effectively able to learn. My students and their families have been working SO hard please help them to access materials they are so deserving of! Thank you in advance!
