Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My pre-kindergarten youngsters are excited and eager to learn. I teach English Language Learners. The majority of my students are at risk and underprivileged. Many of my students don't experience or see a lot of things outside of their communities/home, and my goal is to allow them to explore the most in the classroom through various resources provided to them. As their teacher, I strive to create a learning environment where each student reaches success through their own individual potential and determination.

My Project

Pre-K is all about learning through play and I want to continue to reach each student that is placed in my classroom. These materials will continue to grow our choices of hands-on center materials to ensure that each student has access to what they need to succeed in our Pre-K classroom. Learning through play is one of the most meaningful experiences we can give our students and having purposeful materials in those centers is just as important.

My students belong to under-served communities and my goal is to prepare my students for Kindergarten and beyond by enriching their reading through hands-on involvement with letter knowledge, letter-sound knowledge, and the foundation skills.

I hope to provide my students with learning opportunities that they do not have access to in their lives at home. With your help my students would have access to Letter Construction Activity Set, Translucent Letters, Uppercase and Lowercase Alphabet Pebbles, Learning Resources Smart Snacks Alpha Pops, Alphabet Matching and Fine Motor Skills Toys.

With your help, I will be able to provide these materials to my students and reinforce their learning experience.
