My Pre-K class is filed with students that enjoy learning. Although many of them face different type of challenges, they are still able to come to school to experience a safe place. My students have joy of reading (at age 4!) and love to explore the science and writing center. They have a genuine joy for learning at such a young age! I would love for my students to have the best Pre-K experience ever!
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to take control of their learning! My Pre-K students are very eager to explore learning and I want to foster from an early age their ability to make their own decisions. Flexible seating is one way my students can start building their independence and confidence. This year I plan to use the materials during my morning meeting lessons, circle time and center time. Students will have their choice to grab a seat cushion and sit comfortably. I plan to teach my students how to use their flexible seating appropriately in order to foster a sense of autonomy and help them to engage in our fun lessons!
