My Students

My Pre-K students are a fun, friendly, energetic group who love to try new things and explore. Our school is located in the Bronx, New York which is a diverse community where 100% of the students receive free school meals.

My Project

Our Pre-K is located in the heart of the Bronx surrounded by many art institutions, community organizations and a local zoo. Unfortunately my students do not have access to them because they are not allowed to ride the school bus and walking is too far for them. These quad wagons are the perfect solution to provide them with better access and learning opportunities within their community in a safe and fun way.

During a recent morning meeting, I was surprised to learn that only 1 out of 15 students have ever been to our local Bronx Zoo which is a 15 minute walk from our school!

The Bronx Zoo and many other nearby places in the community could provide my students with engaging hands on learning activities throughout the school year.
