Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we embark on a new school year, we don't know what's ahead of us, but we would like to be prepared especially in ensuring no child goes hungry in our preschool program.
Each year, we set up TAKE HOME FOOD BAGS for our Preschoolers every Friday to ensure our students have access to healthier food choices during their time away from school.
We started this trend because we noticed on Mondays our students are sluggish and some come in very hungry. We started doing something about it.
We started sending home any extra food we had in the class and purchase some items, but we just can't keep up with the needs on our own.
We need your help in keeping our class pantry open! Every donation that YOU give goes towards supplementing meals for our students on a weekly basis.
