My Project

School can be an incredibly challenging place for students who are new the country and new to English. In teaching newcomers, I've found that one of the most valuable things I can do for them is help them feel successful. Learning a language can be a painfully slow process, so making sure students feel like they're doing something right can help them sustain motivation through the long process.

Playing games offers students a fun and engaging way to learn new vocabulary and they challenge students to practice the linguistic skills they've already learned.

Learning English can be tedious, so it would be great to be able to give students a break from their semi-frequent frustrations by playing games. Please help me reach my goal so I can give students the gift of games!
