Our students are hard-working rural students that come from predominately lower economic households. The school district is making an effort to increase these students exposure to more education and opportunities for growth and success. This growth and success carries over from all things that they do such as sports, band, ag, and academic competitions. This is difficult to do sometimes due to financial constraints, but the school and communities do as much as they can to provide the encouragement the students need to become productive members of society.
My Project
We will be able to use the PowerAlley pitching machine to give a better look at ground balls and fly balls. It will also allow us to be more consistent in placing baseballs in a certain spot which will allow for more quality repetitions.
The ability to create better repetitions will help us become a more competitive program.
The more success we have athletically will carry over into other aspects of the student's life, like academics, confidence, and pride in their accomplishments.
The help from the community is also a very valuable experience for our students. They get to learn that anybody can help out.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
