Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I love my students! They are friendly and have diverse talents. All of them have an eligibility for moderate-severe autism.
One student is nonverbal and has a beautiful smile.
He can not read or write due to the severity of the autism. He needs more visual aids.
One student can not express herself in English. She would need a communication board and more visual aids.
One student is bilingual. He can easily code-switch from Spanish to English.
One student is proficient in speaking English, but has trouble reading and spelling correctly. He needs visuals and repetitions of words/ repeated readings.
One student is bilingual. She knows more English, than Spanish, but she has a difficult time expressing her thoughts in comprehensible sentences.
My Project
We need to maintain our health in school: "PPE! Fresh and Clean *v* Good Hygiene." We would like to request your help in providing soap, wipes and sanitizers for my students to use in class and at home. Once we receive the products, my students would make and have their own hygiene kits in class and at home.
In order to prevent the spread of various illnesses in my class, my students have to be sent home for excessive sneezing, coughing, sniffing and runny noses.
My students have a possibility of suffering from any illnesses during COVID, Cold and Flu seasons. Therefore, it is important for everyone to stay healthy in a school setting.
These needful, hygienic supplies would be used by my students in school and within their home settings. Please help us gather the soap, wipes and sanitizers in order to prevent illnesses, and to keep our classroom a healthy and clean environment.
