My Project

How will the specific items you’re requesting make a difference in their learning?

The items in this project will provide my students with hands-on learning tools that make abstract math concepts more concrete.

The coordinate plane whiteboards and static cling grids will allow students to practice graphing equations in a visual and interactive way. The fraction circles will give them a tangible way to explore fractions, equivalence, and operations. The positive/negative dice will help reinforce integer operations in a fun, engaging way. The number line chart will support conceptual understanding of number relationships, while the geometry bulletin board set will provide constant visual references. Finally, the Chromebook chargers will ensure that students can continue using their devices for research, interactive activities, and digital assignments without interruptions.

What are your goals for this project?

My goal is to create a dynamic, student-centered learning environment where students actively engage with math through hands-on activities. I want to make math more accessible and less intimidating by incorporating tools that help students visualize and interact with mathematical concepts. By providing these resources, I aim to improve students’ confidence, understanding, and overall performance in math.

What makes your students special?

My students are curious, hardworking, and eager to learn, but many of them struggle with seeing math as something they can succeed in. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to the classroom. Despite any challenges they may face, they are resilient and capable, and I want to provide them with every possible resource to help them thrive in math. These tools will not only support their academic growth but also foster a love for learning and problem-solving.
