Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an amazing group of high school biology and forensic science students who are curious, hardworking, and eager to learn through hands-on experiences. Many of my students come from low-income backgrounds and face challenges outside the classroom, but they show up every day, ready to engage with science in meaningful ways.

The items I’m requesting will help create a more organized, efficient, and safe learning environment.

Extension cords and a power inverter will ensure that all our technology, such as microscopes and forensic tools, can be used anywhere in the room. Cleaning supplies will help maintain a safe and sanitary space for labs and dissections.

My goal with this project is to remove small obstacles that can disrupt learning and provide my students with a well-equipped space where they can focus on discovery. These students deserve a classroom that supports their curiosity and ambition, and with your help, we can power up their learning experience!
