This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are excited to present our Racquet Sport and Fitness Program designed for 5th through 8th grade students with a focus on tennis, fitness, and the addition of pickleball this year! Our mission is to inspire lifelong health and wellness through movement, play, and education.

This project requests both a pickleball machine and a tennis ball machine to enhance student practice and skill development.

The ball machines will allow students to receive consistent feeds, enabling them to focus on improving their strokes through repetition. While the machines handle ball delivery, coaches will have more opportunities to provide targeted feedback and refined instruction, ultimately supporting more effective and individualized skill development for each student.

Our program integrates high-quality sports instruction with athletic development, including training in coordination, reaction, strength, agility, and visual tracking. We also introduce students to recovery techniques and wellness practices aimed at injury prevention and long-term health. These components are essential in helping youth understand how to care for their bodies and stay active throughout life.

Coach Vargas will only receive their materials if this project is fully funded by July 22.
